A US nonprofit with deep roots in Afghan communities
ORCD Global was founded in California in 2017 as the international arm of ORCD Afghanistan, which started work in 2011. We registered as an international NGO in Afghanistan in 2018 and run our country office from Kabul.
Mission. Empower vulnerable communities, especially women, youth and marginalized groups, through capacity building.
Vision. Thriving, self-reliant communities that shape their own futures through informed decisions.
Strategic goal. Generate evidence for policymakers through academic research across fields.

Our headquarters is in Elk Grove, California, and our country office is in Kabul. Sister organizations in Canada, Türkiye, Ghana and the United Kingdom extend our reach.
